This year will mark the 4rd consecutive year that I have had my running club participants participate in the ILP Race for Literacy at Shoreline Park.  I really like this race because it is local, has a flat, kid friendly course and is very well organized.  In fact, if you register as a Team for the Cupertino Middle Running Club, before April 18th, you will have a custom T-shirt made with our team name on it.  This is a great perk.

DESCRIPTION:

Race For Literacy is a professionally timed 5K/10K Race, 5K Fun Walk organized by ILP that attracts over 800 participants from the SF Bay Area. The event is held at the scenic Shoreline Park on a fast-paced USATF certified course. The race features excellent prizes for the winners, pre-race warm up routines, FREE T-Shirts for all participants and a gala atmosphere with great food and music. Join us with your friends and family!

REGISTERING FOR THE RACE (VERY IMPORTANT):

I recommend that you register on-line, it is very convenient.  Click HERE to register on-line.  Please click the “Join An Existing Team” tab at the top and you will see Cupertino Middle Running Club in the drop down menu, select it.  Complete the rest of the registration process.  By selecting this option, you will receive a T-shirt with out team name on it if you register by April 18th, otherwise you will receive a shirt w/o a team name on it.  Check out this ONLINE TUTORIAL on how to register as a team.

If you register before April 25th, the cost of the race is $20.00.  After that, the cost is $25.00. 

NOTE:  If you register later than April 18th, you will not get a custom team T-shirt made.
